We are partnered with a well-established civil engineering and surveying firm with a strong presence across the Southeast, currently expanding its operations in Charlotte, NC. Due to a growing project backlog across commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments, they are looking to bring on a Professional Land Surveyor who can play a key role in overseeing project delivery, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continued regional growth. The Professional Land Surveyor will be responsible for:

Managing and overseeing land surveying projects from initial scope through final deliverables
Leading field crews and office staff to ensure accurate data collection, processing, and reporting
Reviewing plats, boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and construction staking for quality and compliance
Coordinating with internal engineering teams, project managers, and external clients
Ensuring all work adheres to state regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
Supporting proposal development, including scope definition and budgeting
Mentoring junior surveyors and contributing to team development

The Professional Land Surveyor should have the following qualifications:

Active North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license (or ability to obtain via reciprocity)
5+ years of progressive experience in land surveying, including project oversight
Strong knowledge of boundary law, survey standards, and field-to-finish workflows
Experience with survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, or similar
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external clients
Leadership experience or desire to step into a leadership-focused role
