An established architecture and design practice is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join its growing team in Auburn, Alabama. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects, leading teams, coordinating consultants, and driving projects through construction and successful completion.
The firm is looking for an architect who can provide strong leadership throughout all phases of design and delivery, helping ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, with a particular emphasis on educational facilities, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the overall success of the studio.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from design development through construction administration
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and internal project teams
- Oversee project documentation and quality control efforts
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Mentor and support emerging architects and design professionals
- Resolve technical challenges and maintain project momentum through completion
- Ensure projects meet applicable codes, regulations, and client requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Architectural licensure preferred
- 10+ years of professional architectural experience
- Strong experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction
- Proficiency in Revit and construction documentation
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
