Position Summary:
LVI Associates is hiring on behalf of a leading national provider of performance-based energy and infrastructure solutions. Rooted in one of the nation's top MEP building systems firms, this company uses its design-build expertise to reduce operating costs, modernize infrastructure, and increase facility resilience for its clients.
As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects. This is an excellent entry point for a career in project management within the design-build construction space.
⚠️ This is a remote role; however, 100% travel and full-time on-site presence are required. The first project will be based in the Greater Atlanta area.
What You'll Do:
Assist Project Managers in the coordination and execution of MEP construction projects
Support field labor teams and provide jobsite support
Manage procurement of equipment and subcontracted services
Coordinate project documentation and submittals
Collaborate with design, trades, and subcontractors to ensure alignment
Track labor feedback and project changes
Contribute to budget reviews and schedule development
Facilitate communication between design and field teams
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
Ability to read mechanical/plumbing drawings and understand HVAC system operations
Basic understanding of HVAC design and system components
Strong communication and documentation skills
Familiarity with technical documentation (CAD drawings, RFIs, submittals, blueprints)
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and general business software
Interest in developing skills in estimating, scheduling, and coordination
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
1-3 years of relevant experience in mechanical construction or design
Prior experience with a mechanical contractor or as a design engineer interested in operations
Familiarity with design-build project delivery (preferred)
