Senior Project Civil Engineer - Solid Waste

Position Overview
Seeking a Civil Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to support and manage a variety of projects, with an emphasis on solid waste facilities and environmental infrastructure. The role combines technical design, regulatory coordination, project management, and client interaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and support landfill expansion, closure, and related solid waste projects
- Prepare grading, drainage, and stormwater management designs
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
- Develop construction drawings and technical specifications using Civil 3D
- Support environmental remediation and mining-related civil engineering projects
- Coordinate permitting and regulatory compliance efforts
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
- Interface directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Assist with proposals, business development, and project planning
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience
- California PE preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Solid waste engineering
- Landfill design
- Site/civil engineering
- Stormwater design
- Grading and earthwork
- Mining infrastructure projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project management experience is a plus
Preferred Experience
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- HydroCAD or similar modeling software
- Regulatory permitting and compliance
- HAZWOPER certification
- Established client relationships
- Proposal development and client management
