A leading water/wastewater contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Denver. This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals with 1-3 years of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically in treatment plants, sewer systems, wet utilities, and pipework.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project management teams in planning, scheduling, and execution of water/wastewater treatment plant construction projects.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Monitor project progress and help maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Participate in site visits and inspections as needed.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in heavy civil construction, preferably in water/wastewater infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with wet utilities, sewer systems, pipe installation, and treatment plant construction.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.) is a plus.
