An established and highly respected regional General Contractor is seeking a Project Manager to play a key role in the execution of a landmark $75M ground-up higher education project in Tampa.
This is an opportunity to join a financially strong contractor with a long-standing reputation across the Southeast and take ownership of a complex, high-profile project from preconstruction through closeout. Working alongside an experienced Senior Project Manager and operations team, you will help deliver a flagship university development while building your career with one of the region's leading builders.
Key responsibilities of the Project Manager | Higher Education Construction include:
- Lead day-to-day project management activities throughout the construction life-cycle.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, and financial performance.
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement activities, and contract administration.
- Partner closely with the Superintendent to ensure schedule, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
- Maintain strong relationships with university representatives, architects, consultants, and trade partners.
- Drive project scheduling efforts and monitor progress against key milestones.
Key requirements of the Project Manager | Higher Education Construction include:
- Experience working for an established general contractor
- Higher education, student housing, healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, or large commercial project experience highly desirable.
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position.
- Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software.
