Project Manager - Power Generation
Job Summary
A growing engineering and project delivery firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support capital projects for a major U.S. electric utility. This position is part of a high‑performing Utilities Division known for strong client relationships, long-term stability, and exceptional team retention.

Responsibilities
- Manage multiple capital projects within the power generation and utility sectors.
- Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution from inception through completion.
- Serve as a primary client-facing representative with utility stakeholders.
- Identify and develop opportunities to grow the client account.
- Provide regular project updates and maintain strong communication between internal teams and the client.
- Travel monthly to Phoenix for onsite meetings and project work.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 5-10 years of project management experience in power generation (oil & gas, thermal, combined cycle, or coal projects).
- Experience with both large and small project scopes.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects, budgets, and client relationships.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with utility clients.
Preferred Location:
- Phoenix-area candidates preferred.
- Candidates in PST or MST time zones also encouraged to apply due to travel convenience.
- Remote flexibility with monthly travel expected for those not in Phoenix
Compensation
- Base Salary: $130,000-$150,000
- Bonus: 20-30% (paid twice per year)
- Compensation grows as your billable rate increases with the client.
- Fast and simple expense reimbursement; travel expenses are paid back directly via check.
