Overview:
Established Massachusetts-based contractor is seeking a full-time Project Manager to oversee electrical utility distribution, substation construction, and/or solar field construction projects.
Role Summary:
Responsible for managing multiple ground-up projects of varying size and scope, ranging from under $1M to $25M. Work closely with customers to ensure successful delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage all facets of project construction and provide leadership to project teams
- Oversee day-to-day management services for the duration of the project
- Coordinate and attend planning, pre-design, and design meetings
- Inspect sites; review design for code compliance and contract adherence
- Approve or reject submittals; monitor schedule and delivery dates
- Maintain complete records of contract documents, plans, specifications, and changes
- Track progress against goals, timelines, and budgets
- Monitor expenses to ensure compliance with budget
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of construction management experience (solar preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint; Primavera experience a plus
- Strong communication skills in a professional, business-like manner
- Experience with CPM schedules, RFIs, submittals, payment analysis, and site reviews
- OSHA safety training preferred
- Previous experience with large-scale facilities or Federal/state contracts preferred
