Company Overview
We are partnered with a growing utility contractor in the Dayton area that focuses on transmission and substation work, access roads, foundations, and underground distribution. They are looking for a Project Manager who can lead field operations while also managing client relationships and supporting business development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day operations for active utility and civil construction projects
- Work with crews, subcontractors, schedules, equipment, and budgets
- Review drawings, specs, and estimates to confirm project scope
- Keep clients updated, build trust, and support long term relationships
- Help identify upcoming project opportunities and support business development
- Partner with estimating on bid strategy and project handoffs
- Manage project performance, forecasting, reporting, and closeout
- Maintain safety and quality standards across all phases of the project
Requirements
- Experience managing civil or utility construction projects
- Background in transmission, substation, underground distribution, or similar work is helpful
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
- Solid understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general project software
- Strong problem solving and leadership skills
