Title: Project Manager - Civil Construction

Salary: Up to $140,000 (DOE)
A leading contractor specializing in utility, electrical, and heavy civil infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of work across Northern and Central California. This role is well‑suited for a hands‑on construction PM who thrives in a field‑driven environment, enjoys ownership of project outcomes, and values working within a close‑knit, low‑bureaucracy organization.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will oversee projects from award through closeout, with responsibility for cost control, scheduling, coordination, and client communication. This position works closely with superintendents and field leadership to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key duties include managing budgets and cost codes, tracking production and performance, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, handling RFIs, submittals, and change orders, and supporting accurate forecasting and reporting. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and play a critical role in maintaining strong working relationships.

What You Bring

  • 5-10+ years of project management experience in utility, heavy civil, or electrical construction

  • Experience managing projects in the $5M-$25M+ range

  • Strong understanding of field operations, scheduling, and cost controls

  • Ability to work effectively with self‑perform crews and subcontractors

  • Solid communication, organizational, and leadership skills
