Job Title: Remote Building Automation Programmer - Data Center Projects
Location: Remote (U.S.-based candidates only)
About the Role:
We're seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Programmer to support mission-critical data center projects across the United States. This remote role focuses on programming, integration, and optimization of building automation systems (BAS) with a strong emphasis on Tridium Niagara. Experience with Distech Controls is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, configure, and commission BAS for data centers using Tridium Niagara N4
Integrate HVAC, lighting, energy metering, and security systems into unified platforms
Create and maintain control logic, graphics, and alarming sequences
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure timely delivery
Perform remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system optimization
Document programming standards, workflows, and system architecture
Support cybersecurity best practices for BAS networks
Occasionally travel for commissioning or client meetings (less than 10%)
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in BAS programming, specifically with Tridium Niagara N4
Proven track record with data center environments or other high-reliability facilities
Strong understanding of HVAC control sequences and energy management strategies
Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and specifications
Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Distech Controls (ECLYPSE series, ECY-S1000)
Niagara TCP certification
Knowledge of IT networking and cybersecurity principles
Experience with commissioning tools and remote monitoring platforms
