Job Title: Robotics & Controls Engineer
A leading industrial automation team is seeking a skilled Robotics & Automation Programmer to support ongoing and upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in robot programming, PLC programming, and HMI development, with a focus on industrial robotics and Allen Bradley systems. Candidates with experience in Motoman Yaskawa or IAI robots-including Cartesian Robots, SCARA Robots, Tabletop Robots, and Electric Actuators-and a background in industrial automation integration (not semiconductor) are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot industrial robotic systems for automation applications (Motoman Yaskawa or IAI Robots preferred).
- Work with various IAI robot types including Cartesian, SCARA, Tabletop Robots, and Electric Actuators.
- Develop and maintain PLC logic using Allen Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), Siemens, or Automation Direct platforms.
- Design and implement HMI interfaces using Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, Exor, Proface, or Siemens tools.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and commissioning on-site or remotely.
- Document programming logic, system configurations, and validation protocols.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience programming industrial robots, especially Motoman Yaskawa or IAI Robots (Cartesian, SCARA, Tabletop, Electric Actuators).
- Strong proficiency in Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Automation Direct PLCs and HMI development.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SCADA systems and integration.
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance in industrial environments.
- Relevant certifications in robotics, PLC programming, or industrial automation.
