We're seeking an experienced Safety & Health Field Coordinator to support large-scale utility and infrastructure construction projects across the Midwest. This role is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with crews and project leaders, and making a visible impact on safety performance every day.
What You'll Do
As a trusted safety partner, you'll work directly with project leadership and field personnel to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance across transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety orientations, training programs, and job site safety meetings
- Conduct field audits, inspections, and safety observations
- Support incident investigations and corrective action planning
- Coach supervisors and crews on safe work practices
- Monitor safety metrics and compliance initiatives
- Help integrate safety into project planning and execution
- Drive continuous improvement through education, accountability, and positive engagement
- Serve as a visible leader and advocate for workplace safety
What We're Looking For
- 2-5 years of construction safety experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working alongside craft and field personnel
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred
- Equivalent experience will be considered
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Midwest
