About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Executive to drive growth in the building automation market across Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. This role focuses on selling smart building solutions, including HVAC controls, energy management systems, and integrated automation platforms to commercial, institutional, and mission-critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy targeting commercial buildings, government facilities, data centers, and institutional clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facility managers, building owners, consultants, and contractors.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver tailored automation solutions that meet client needs.
- Stay informed on local market trends, building codes, and sustainability initiatives.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or smart building technologies.
- Strong understanding of the regional market dynamics in Northern Virginia and Washington D.C.
- Proven ability to sell technical solutions to commercial and institutional clients.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a regional territory.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales reporting.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with leading BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Honeywell).
- Knowledge of LEED, WELL, and other sustainability frameworks.
- Existing network of contacts in the local building automation and construction ecosystem.
