2) Position Summary / ポジション概要
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the technical development and construction of utility-scale battery energy storage projects across Japan. 日本国内における大規模バッテリーエネルギー貯蔵プロジェクトの技術開発および建設を支援するシニアプロジェクトエンジニアを募集しています。
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position will play a critical role in delivering projects from early-stage development through construction and into operations. 本ポジションはエンジニアリングマネージャーに直属し、初期開発段階から建設、運転開始までのプロジェクト推進において重要な役割を担います。
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams including development, procurement, construction, operations, and trading, while also managing relationships with external engineering consultants, contractors, utilities, and project stakeholders. 開発、調達、建設、運用、トレーディングなどの社内部門と密接に連携するとともに、外部エンジニアリング会社、施工会社、電力会社、その他ステークホルダーとの関係構築・管理も担当します。

3) Key Responsibilities / 主な業務内容
Project Development & Engineering Support / プロジェクト開発および技術支援
* Provide comprehensive engineering support to development and project delivery teams. ・開発チームおよびプロジェクトデリバリーチームへ包括的な技術支援を提供する。
* Support the successful development and execution of battery energy storage projects. ・バッテリーエネルギー貯蔵プロジェクトの開発および実行を支援する。
* Evaluate new project opportunities through technical due diligence, desktop studies, and site assessments. ・技術デューデリジェンス、机上調査、現地調査を通じて新規案件を評価する。
* Prepare, review, and optimise project designs including site layouts, system sizing, and equipment selection. ・サイトレイアウト、システム容量設計、機器選定を含むプロジェクト設計の作成、レビュー、最適化を行う。
* Manage and coordinate external engineering consultants and technical vendors. ・外部エンジニアリングコンサルタントおよび技術ベンダーの管理・調整を行う。
Procurement & Technical Standards / 調達および技術標準化
* Collaborate with procurement teams to establish and implement project design and equipment standards. ・調達チームと連携し、プロジェクト設計および機器標準を確立・実施する。
* Ensure technical solutions support project cost, quality, reliability, and performance objectives. ・コスト、品質、信頼性、性能目標を満たす技術ソリューションを確保する。
Grid & Utility Interface Management / 系統連系および電力会社対応
* Support the preparation and management of grid connection applications. ・系統連系申請の準備および管理を支援する。
* Coordinate with utilities and relevant stakeholders throughout the interconnection process. ・系統接続プロセス全体を通じて電力会社および関係者との調整を行う。
Construction Delivery / 建設プロジェクト遂行
* Prepare technical scopes of work for construction contracts, site investigations, and engineering studies. ・建設契約、地盤調査、各種技術調査の技術仕様書を作成する。
* Interface with Owner's Engineers and contractors to ensure compliance with design and contractual requirements. ・オーナーズエンジニアおよび施工会社と連携し、設計要件および契約要件の遵守を確保する。
* Coordinate design reviews, quality assurance activities, risk assessments, and technical approvals. ・設計レビュー、品質保証活動、リスク評価、技術承認プロセスを統括する。
* Manage technical project delivery throughout construction, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and budget objectives are achieved. ・建設フェーズ全体の技術管理を行い、安全性、スケジュール、品質、予算目標の達成を確保する。
Site Management & Stakeholder Coordination / 現場管理およびステークホルダー調整
* Conduct regular site visits and prepare progress reports highlighting key risks and project milestones. ・定期的な現場訪問を実施し、重要なリスクや進捗状況を報告する。
* Support project handover from development to construction and from construction to operations. ・開発から建設、建設から運用への引継ぎを支援する。
4) Requirements / 応募要件
* Degree-qualified engineer, preferably in Electrical Engineering. ・電気工学を優先とする工学系学位保有者。
* Minimum 5 years of experience in energy, power, infrastructure, engineering consultancy, or construction industries. ・エネルギー、電力、インフラ、エンジニアリングコンサルティング、または建設業界における5年以上の経験。
* Experience supporting project development and construction activities. ・プロジェクト開発および建設業務の経験。
* Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities. ・優れたプロジェクトマネジメントおよびステークホルダーマネジメント能力。
* Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) design, performance, and control systems. ・BESSの設計、性能、制御システムに関する知識。
* Understanding of substations, power conversion equipment, SCADA systems, and fire protection systems. ・変電設備、電力変換装置、SCADAシステム、防火設備に関する知識。
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ・優れた分析力および問題解決能力。
