Senior Facade Architect / Engineer Opportunity (NYC)
Our client is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) with strong experience in building envelope and facade consulting throughout the New York City market. This senior-level position will lead facade inspection, restoration, and rehabilitation projects, with a particular focus on FISP compliance, forensic investigations, condition assessments, and repair design.
The role involves managing projects from initial field inspections through design, construction administration, and project closeout. Responsibilities include preparing technical reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications, coordinating with clients and contractors, and providing technical leadership on complex facade and building exterior projects.
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in facade engineering, architecture, or building envelope consulting, along with a strong understanding of NYC building codes, FISP requirements, facade restoration, waterproofing systems, and forensic investigations. Experience with client management, project delivery, and mentoring junior staff is highly valued.
Requirements:
- PE or RA license required
- Experience with facade restoration and building envelope projects
- Knowledge of NYC FISP regulations and local building codes
- Strong report writing and project management skills
- OSHA-10 certification and field inspection experience preferred
