Senior Civil Engineer - Land Development & Infrastructure

A multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its infrastructure design team. This role focuses on stormwater hydrology/hydraulics and civil site design for utility, retail, and commercial projects, with additional exposure to municipal engineering. The successful candidate will lead technical design efforts, mentor junior staff, and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for site layout, grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and civil utilities
- Ensure constructability and field coordination in design documentation
- Write specifications and resolve field-related design issues
- Interact with clients and government agencies to support project approvals
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff
- Attend public meetings and present project updates or development reviews
- Maintain accountability for technical quality and client satisfaction
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 8-10 years of experience in stormwater hydrology/hydraulics and civil site design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or immediate reciprocity
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with construction documentation and field coordination
- Ability to manage client relationships and regulatory interactions
- Municipal engineering experience (preferred but not required)
