Role Overview
You'll manage all aspects of construction-from initial due diligence and permitting through design, build, tenant improvements, and handover. This is a field-focused leadership role requiring strong oversight of contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee permitting, approvals, and compliance with local regulations
- Manage architects, engineers, and consultants for design and construction phases
- Select and negotiate with contractors and vendors
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cash flows
- Ensure quality, safety, and adherence to contract requirements
- Drive cost optimization and identify innovative solutions
- Coordinate tenant improvements and transition to asset management
- Build strong relationships with government agencies and stakeholders
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years in construction and real estate development, including industrial projects; data center experience highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of all phases of building and land development
- Expertise in contract negotiation, cost analysis, and project scheduling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Bluebeam
- Valid driver's license; bilingual in Spanish a plus
