Senior Controls Technician

Location: Columbus/Cincinnati Area

Job Type: Full‑time (overtime available)


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform system start‑ups according to project plans, specifications, and contract requirements
  • Analyze building control and HVAC system performance
  • Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and field notes
  • Provide engineering support for projects as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and component issues
  • Commission HVAC and control systems, including DDC components
  • Train clients and colleagues on control systems
  • Build and wire control panels as required
  • Assist the Service Department with troubleshooting calls

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
  • Knowledge of DDC control theory and applications
  • Experience with HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and electronics
  • Familiarity with computer programming, hardware, and software
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and customer‑facing skills

Credentials & Experience

  • 2+ years of hands‑on field experience (technical degree preferred but not required)
  • Solid understanding of HVAC and/or mechanical systems
  • Proficient mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience are welcome
