Senior Cultural Resources Lead (Archaeologist)
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cultural resources projects from proposal through completion, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget
- Serve as Principal Investigator on archaeological and cultural resource studies
- Oversee fieldwork activities, including surveys, monitoring, testing, and data recovery
- Conduct artifact analysis and contribute to technical reporting and documentation
- Manage and mentor cultural resources staff within a regional team
- Support preparation of proposals, scopes of work, and regulatory permits
- Maintain and expand client relationships across public and private sectors
- Collaborate with leadership to support regional growth and operational effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local cultural resource regulations
- Participate in professional organizations and industry engagement efforts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Historic Preservation, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant cultural resources experience
- Demonstrated experience with Section 106 compliance and environmental regulations
- Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
