The Role

The Senior Director of Civil Engineering - Multi-Site will provide leadership across national civil engineering teams, with responsibility for operational performance, project delivery, client satisfaction, team development, and sustainable growth.

The role requires an individual who can think strategically while remaining closely connected to project execution, ensuring people, processes, financial performance, and client expectations remain aligned as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the performance and growth of multi-site civil engineering teams across the United States.
• Drive consistency in project delivery, quality standards, communication, and client service.
• Enhance operational processes, workflows, resource planning, and delivery systems.
• Develop and mentor high-performing engineering leaders and project teams.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and client focus.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key national clients and stakeholders.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and identify opportunities to expand existing client partnerships.
• Oversee project performance including scope management, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and risk management.
• Utilize business metrics and client feedback to improve operational performance and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

We are seeking a senior civil engineering professional with strong leadership experience, commercial awareness, and a proven ability to scale teams and client programs.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• MBA or advanced business leadership experience preferred.
• Significant experience leading civil engineering teams, projects, and client relationships.
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-office, or national client programs.
• Strong understanding of financial performance, staffing, utilization, and operational management.
• Experience with site development, land development, multi-site programs, infrastructure, or related civil engineering disciplines.
• Ability to mentor teams, build trust, and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
• Experience leveraging technology and process improvements to increase efficiency and support decision-making.
