Senior Director of Civil Engineering

They are a nationally recognized, industry-leading architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) firm that has been designing, building, and managing programs across North America since the 90s. What began as a single-location business has grown into an integrated A/E/C powerhouse of several hundred people across 20+ offices in the US and Canada, regularly recognized on the industry's top design-firm lists.

The firm is privately held and financially strong, backed by significant investment to fund continued growth and acquisition. Their model is built around national, multi-site programs - delivering thousands of repeatable projects for many of the world's most recognizable brands, with a reputation for speed to market, cost certainty, and compelling design.

The Work

Through a fully integrated, in-house team spanning civil, structural, MEP, architecture, survey, planning, and permitting, the firm delivers site development and program work across a diverse set of markets, including:

  • Convenience, fueling, and car wash brands (ground-up builds, raze-and-rebuilds, and remodels).
  • Retail, restaurant, grocery, and financial branch programs for major national brands.
  • Industrial, housing, semiconductor, and mission-critical / high-tech facilities.
  • Energy, distributed generation, and EV / zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure.

  • Strengthen national client relationships - understanding client needs, improving responsiveness, and helping teams deliver with consistency and trust.
  • Partner with client leaders, market leaders, and technical teams to support program delivery, strategic pursuits, and expanded client opportunities.
  • Drive consistent execution across client programs - scope management, schedule performance, budget accountability, project setup, change management, invoicing discipline, and closeout.
  • Use performance data, client feedback, and business insight to identify trends, address gaps, improve resource planning, and strengthen delivery outcomes.

  • Experience in civil site development, multi-site engineering, land development, infrastructure, national accounts, or related growth markets.
  • Ability to lead through influence - building trust, aligning teams, mentoring leaders, and communicating effectively with clients, teams, and company leadership.
