We're partnered with a highly regarded transportation and infrastructure engineering firm seeking a Drainage Engineer (PE) to support and lead drainage design efforts on major FDOT, tolling, and local agency projects throughout Florida.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside established roadway, bridge, traffic, and water resources professionals on projects that directly impact how Floridians move throughout the state.
Responsibilities
- Develop drainage and stormwater designs for transportation infrastructure projects
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using industry-standard software
- Prepare drainage reports, calculations, permit packages, and plan production deliverables
- Coordinate with roadway, structures, traffic, utilities, and environmental disciplines
- Support project delivery for FDOT, expressway authorities, counties, and municipalities
- Participate in client coordination meetings and technical presentations
- Review plans and calculations to ensure quality and compliance with agency requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the team
Qualifications
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 4+ years of drainage design experience
- Experience working on FDOT transportation projects
- Familiarity with FDOT Drainage Manual requirements and permitting processes
- Experience with software such as ICPR, HY-8, StormCAD, PondPack, OpenRoads Drainage, or similar tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
