Key Responsibilities

• Review design documents and equipment submittals for new data center projects in your region.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans for system or equipment failures.
• Provide operational support through training, procedure reviews, and event response for critical systems.
• Lead design efforts for upgrades that improve capacity, efficiency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistent standards across projects.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, sometimes across different geographic regions.
• Conduct engineering site audits and produce risk assessments with mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the resident engineer during construction, supporting commissioning and project turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong engineering judgment and ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Experience solving technical problems with engineered solutions.
• Proven ability to manage engineering projects and external consultants.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in both office and field environments.

Preferred Experience

• Highly organized with strong prioritization and deadline management skills.
• Background in mission-critical facilities, especially data centers.
• Hands-on experience as a resident engineer or design consultant.
• Familiarity with regional building codes and regulations.
• Ability to interpret and produce construction drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems for data centers (UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, cooling towers, etc.).
• Experience with EPMS, SCADA, or BMS control systems.
