Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Manage multiple projects from concept through construction administration.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical/plumbing engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Perform site visits, field surveys, and construction inspections.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in NY or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in building systems design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Preferred Experience
- LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design.
- Experience with NYC and NYS building codes and permitting processes.
- Familiarity with energy modeling and lighting control systems.
