Overview
We're partnering with a well-established, high-performing environmental consulting firm seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to take on a key technical leadership role. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex remediation projects, contribute to design strategy, and mentor a growing team - all within a collaborative, flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical lead on large-scale environmental projects (typically $2M-$3M range)
- Lead and support soil and groundwater remediation efforts, from investigation through closure
- Drive remedial design, including treatment systems, engineering controls, and site closure strategies
- Oversee and review technical reports, work plans, and deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy
- Collaborate closely with project managers to support execution, timelines, and client deliverables
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior staff and support team development
- Maintain a hands-on role in solving complex environmental challenges
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in environmental engineering or a related field
- Strong background in soil & groundwater characterization and remediation
- Experience with remedial design and implementation
- Proven ability to lead technical aspects of projects and work cross-functionally
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Experience with brownfields, landfill projects, or water resources is a plus
- PE license is preferred but not required
