Title: Senior Environmental Engineer or Geologist

Location: Miami, Florida

We're seeking an experienced environmental professional to join a collaborative team in Miami, FL. In this role, you'll work to help lead site investigations, oversee remediation efforts, and contribute to restoring impacted properties for productive reuse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations: tests, sampling, data collection, and calculations.
  • Monitor construction projects for compliance with specifications.
  • Collect and analyze soil, air, water, and vapor samples.
  • Operate and maintain groundwater and soil vapor treatment systems.
  • Assist with regulatory permits and compliance for site investigations.
  • Review environmental and geological records for due diligence.
  • Prepare logs, field forms, and documentation.
  • Solve routine and complex field issues; report to project managers.
  • Contribute to engineering documents: reports, plans, cost estimates, and designs.
  • Manage tasks within budgets and schedules; track progress.
  • Maintain professional interaction with clients and subcontractors.
  • Supervise junior staff and interns as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology.
  • 4+ years in site investigation, remediation design, and construction oversight.
  • Professional licensure (or ability to obtain within one year for engineers).
  • Experience with Phase I-III assessments, sampling, and remediation oversight.
  • Knowledge of groundwater treatment systems and optimization.
  • Familiarity with litigation support and expert witness projects.
  • Strong understanding of CERCLA, RCRA, and state/federal regulations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; willingness to work overtime.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
