Senior Highway / Roadway Engineer

Seller-Doer Focus: Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver highway and roadway projects while developing client relationships and helping win new work with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, public agencies, and municipalities throughout the New York metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Lead highway, roadway, and transportation design projects.
- Prepare roadway plans, specifications, engineering reports, and design calculations.
- Manage NYSDOT and/or NYCDOT projects from planning through final design.
- Serve as a primary client contact and maintain agency relationships.
- Support business development efforts and help secure new projects.
- Prepare scopes of work and fee proposals.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including traffic, drainage, structural, and utility groups.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- PE license required.
- 10+ years of highway/roadway engineering experience.
- NYSDOT and/or NYCDOT project experience required.
- Strong knowledge of NYSDOT Highway Design Manual, NYCDOT standards, and AASHTO guidelines.
- Experience with roadway design, complete streets, traffic improvements, and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related design software.
- Strong project management, communication, and technical writing skills.
