Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer - Energy & Industrial Sector

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work on multi-disciplinary engineering and design teams to develop mechanical layout drawings in 3D models.
  • Design mechanical systems and troubleshoot a variety of design issues.
  • Use 3D modeling software to create mechanical schematics.
  • Coordinate detailed design phases across integrated mechanical models.
  • Support other designers and project team members to ensure timely and complete deliverables.
  • Independently plan and execute mechanical design outputs such as general arrangements, piping isometrics, composites, support drawings, and equipment layouts.
  • Participate in field walkdowns and data collection at client sites.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on drafting tools.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is not available.
  • Associate's degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, including piping systems and supports.
  • Proficiency in 3D plant layout modeling software.
  • Experience reviewing mechanical equipment outlines and coordinating related deliverables.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering and design teams.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with laser scanning and point cloud data.
