Position Overview
A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in healthcare infrastructure design. This role involves leading the mechanical design of hospitals, medical centers, and other healthcare facilities, ensuring systems are efficient, code-compliant, and tailored to patient care environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas system design for healthcare projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and healthcare planners to develop integrated solutions.
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, FGI Guidelines, and local building codes.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.
- Conduct site visits and provide construction administration support.
- Participate in client meetings and support business development efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 8+ years of mechanical design experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design tools (e.g., Trane TRACE, HAP).
- Strong knowledge of healthcare codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
