Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Base Salary: $200,000

A top‑tier U.S. general contractor with a best‑in‑class reputation in the data center construction market is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to deliver large‑scale, mission‑critical projects across North Carolina. This firm is nationally recognised for executing complex hyperscale and colocation data centers and is considered a preferred builder by some of the industry's most demanding clients.

The Role

The Senior MEP Project Manager will have full responsibility for managing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes on major data center projects valued in excess of $150M. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on cost, schedule, risk, and quality management across the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all MEP project management activities on large‑scale data center builds
• Manage MEP budgets, cost controls, forecasts, and change management
• Develop and maintain detailed MEP schedules aligned with overall project milestones
• Procure, negotiate, and manage major MEP subcontractor and vendor packages
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Design Teams, Owners, and Commissioning Agents
• Drive constructability reviews, system integration, and risk mitigation strategies
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and final turnover of mission‑critical systems
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and client expectations

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct data center construction experience (hyperscale or colocation)
• 10+ years total experience in MEP construction, including Project Manager roles
• Proven experience managing MEP scopes on projects valued $150M+
• Strong understanding of mission‑critical electrical and mechanical systems
• Demonstrated success managing cost, schedule, and subcontractor performance
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Based in or local to Raleigh, NC (or willing to be permanently based there)
