The Opportunity
The Atlanta-based structural team focuses on:
- New structural design
- Repair and rehabilitation of existing structures
- Structural investigation and performance evaluation
This role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects involving steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility depending on experience level.

Key Responsibilities
Technical (All Levels)
- Perform structural analysis and design across multiple materials (steel, concrete, masonry, wood)
- Apply relevant codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, TMS, NDS)
- Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Produce technical reports and documentation
- Conduct site investigations and assess existing conditions
- Support construction-phase services (submittals, site visits, coordination)
Project & Client Responsibilities
- Assist with or lead proposals, project scoping, and budgeting
- Manage schedules, deliverables, and financial performance
- Coordinate internal teams to meet deadlines
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Leadership (Senior-Level Candidates)
- Manage multiple or complex projects end-to-end
- Lead and mentor junior engineers
- Contribute to business development and client growth
- Take ownership of project delivery and team performance
Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years (mid-level) or 12+ years (senior/project management) in structural engineering
- Proven experience designing structures across multiple material types
Education & Licensure
- MS in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
- PE license required
- SE license (or working toward it) strongly preferred, particularly for senior candidates
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of structural behaviour and design principles
- Experience with tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, RAM, SAFE, Revit
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- (Senior level) Demonstrated leadership and project management experience
Additional
- Willingness to travel to job sites as required
- Valid driver's license
Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation package, including:
- Base salary aligned with experience and level:
- Mid-Level: $95,000 - $125,000
- Senior/Project Manager: $120,000 - $180,000
