We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join our growing team in the renewable energy sector. This role is tailored for an industry professional with extensive hands-on experience in large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and a deep understanding of planning and permitting processes in Germany. The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of professional experience in the renewables field, and is looking to take on a key role in driving forward high-impact energy projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end development process of large-scale/industrial BESS projects, from concept through to permitting and construction.
Navigate complex permitting and planning procedures with local and national authorities.
Collaborate with internal engineering, legal, and commercial teams to ensure compliance and viability of projects.
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including grid operators, municipalities, and environmental agencies.
Identify and assess new project opportunities, contributing to the company's development pipeline.
Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in renewable energy, ideally focused on utility-scale BESS projects.
Proven track record of managing permitting and planning for renewable installations in Germany.
Excellent command of German (native or near-native) and fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a dynamic team.
Ideally based in or willing to relocate to the Düsseldorf area, though remote/hybrid options may be considered for exceptional candidates.
