Salary: $86,000 - $132,000
Overview
Lead commissioning, qualification, startup, and equipment optimization activities within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading projects, and improving equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning, startup, and qualification activities
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation issues
- Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Lead equipment integration and production ramp-up efforts
- Manage vendor and OEM relationships
- Execute FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, and performance testing
- Improve equipment reliability, quality, and throughput
- Mentor junior engineers and support CQV teams
- Support CAPAs, deviations, and change controls
Requirements
- 5+ years in equipment engineering, CQV, commissioning, automation, or manufacturing engineering
- Experience with automated manufacturing or packaging equipment
- Strong troubleshooting experience across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
- GMP experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environments
- Understanding of commissioning, qualification, and validation principles
- Experience leading projects, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, servos, sensors, and vision systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance
