Senior Project Manager - Commercial Land Development

Our client is a Dallas-based civil engineering and planning firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential land development projects across North Texas. With deep relationships in the private development sector and a growing commercial backlog, the firm is poised for strategic expansion and is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead that charge.

The office is home to a collaborative team of engineers and planners, many of whom have grown their careers within the firm. Known for its flat structure, flexible work culture, and long-term client partnerships, the firm offers a unique opportunity for leadership and ownership from day one.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal leadership role focused on building and growing the firm's commercial land development practice. You'll step into a senior position with full ownership of a substantial commercial pipeline and the autonomy to build a team around your vision. The selected candidate will shape the direction of the group, define processes, and lead delivery with the support of experienced peers and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial and site development projects from concept through construction.
  • Build and mentor a project team aligned with your leadership style and goals.
  • Collaborate with developers, municipalities, and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
  • Influence strategic growth and operational direction of the commercial practice.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
  • 10+ years of experience in civil/site land development.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to build and manage teams.
  • Strong technical background in commercial and mixed-use development.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for ownership and growth.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Up to $200K base, plus bi-annual performance bonus.
