Our long‑established civil engineering and surveying firm is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. In this role, you will lead and manage land development projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, working directly with clients to bring their visions to life. You'll collaborate with a talented, close‑knit in‑office team and play a key role in the ongoing growth of our land development services.

This position is fully in‑office, reflecting our highly collaborative, family‑style culture, where people enjoy working side‑by‑side and supporting each other in real time.

Goals & Responsibilities

This position includes, but is not limited to:

  • Manage land development projects from concept through design, permitting, and construction coordination
  • Lead site grading, roadway design, stormwater systems, utility layouts, and erosion control plans
  • Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, regulatory agencies, and local jurisdictions
  • Prepare and secure permits through city, county, and state regulatory bodies
  • Represent clients at municipal, planning, and technical review meetings as needed
  • Build strong client relationships and support business development opportunities
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the firm's land development services
  • Work collaboratively across disciplines on multi‑market, multi‑team projects
  • Mentor junior staff and support internal training initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain one
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in land development, civil engineering design, and project management
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant stormwater modelling software
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client‑management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, and thrive in a collaborative, in‑office team environment
