Position Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Engineer or Geologist and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee environmental consulting projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for mentoring others. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring project delivery meets both technical and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage environmental investigation and remediation projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals with a focus on profitability and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accountability for all technical, administrative, and financial aspects of assigned projects.
- Communicate regularly with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to provide updates and ensure alignment.
- Oversee and mentor project staff, fostering professional development and adherence to company standards.
- Implement health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
- Review and approve technical deliverables, including reports, work plans, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support business development and strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental engineering, geology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting focused on investigation and remediation.
- Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations.
- Professional certification (e.g., PE, LPG, CHMM) is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refresher.
