Senior Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee land development projects from concept through construction. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in civil engineering, and a deep understanding of land development processes including site planning, permitting, infrastructure design, and stakeholder coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage multiple land development projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Design Oversight: Direct and review civil engineering designs including grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater management.
  • Permitting & Compliance: Lead efforts to obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior engineers, designers, and project coordinators.
  • Budget & Scheduling: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with architects, surveyors, environmental consultants, and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local zoning laws, permitting processes, and land use regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
