The Position: Senior Project Manager

Position Overview

They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and grow their Structural Engineering Group in Cleveland. This role is ideal for a seasoned structural engineer or architectural designer with a strong technical foundation, leadership experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality projects across a variety of sectors.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex structural projects, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development efforts. This is a high-impact role with opportunities for advancement and cross-disciplinary collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for structural projects, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of engineers and designers, fostering professional growth and technical development.
  • Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Support business development by preparing proposals, attending client meetings, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives for the structural group.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering or architectural design with increasing responsibility.
  • Proven project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., RAM, ETABS, Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Base Salary: $100,000-$140,000, commensurate with experience
