Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Surveyor to lead complex surveying projects while providing technical oversight, project management, and mentorship to junior staff. This role offers a mix of leadership, client interaction, and hands-on technical work within a growing and highly respected team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveying projects.
- Provide technical leadership and quality control for survey deliverables.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, permits, and resource allocation.
- Prepare and review legal descriptions, mapping exhibits, and technical reports.
- Develop and maintain client relationships while supporting business development efforts.
- Mentor and train survey staff on field procedures, equipment, and best practices.
- Prepare and review survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
- Support field and office teams to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications:
- California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
- 7+ years of professional land surveying experience.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data processing software.
- Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and staff.
- Strong understanding of boundary analysis, mapping, and land surveying principles.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting public agency, utility, or civil infrastructure projects is a plus.
Compensation:
- $130,000 - $180,000 base salary depending on experience.
