We are seeking a Senior Safety Manager to oversee and strengthen safety operations across major data center projects and business units.
This position will play a critical role in shaping safety strategy, supporting project teams, mentoring safety staff, and ensuring consistent implementation of health and safety standards across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Champion and promote a proactive safety culture throughout assigned business units and project teams.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety programmes tailored to individual project risks and requirements.
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and safety reviews to evaluate compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor project safety performance metrics, analyse trends, and provide recommendations to leadership teams.
- Support project personnel with hazard identification, risk mitigation strategies, and corrective action planning.
- Ensure safety incidents are properly investigated, documented, and resolved in accordance with company procedures.
- Deliver and coordinate safety training programmes to support workforce development and regulatory compliance.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development support to Safety Managers and project teams.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Assist business development teams with client safety qualifications, presentations, and project pursuits.
- Build strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and professional organisations to strengthen the company's safety presence in the market.
- Contribute to company-wide safety initiatives, recognition programmes, and strategic objectives.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing safety programmes within a construction environment.
- Professional safety certification such as ASP, CSP, CHST, or equivalent preferred.
- OSHA training credentials and experience delivering safety education to field personnel and subcontractors.
- Equivalent combinations of education and practical experience will also be considered.
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth understanding of construction safety regulations, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Ability to identify potential risks before they impact project performance and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience influencing teams across multiple projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software platforms.
- Proven ability to manage and execute comprehensive safety programmes within large-scale construction operations.
- Experience supporting mission critical and data centre projects is highly desirable.
