This is an opportunity for a licensed structural engineer with 6-10 years of experience who is ready to take ownership of projects, manage client relationships, and lead coordination efforts from design through construction. The role offers exposure to a wide range of building projects and the chance to work closely with in-house disciplines in a highly collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in structural engineering, paired with the ability to manage project schedules, oversee deliverables, and act as a key point of contact for both clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural projects from concept design through construction administration
- Manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables for multiple active assignments
- Serve as a client-facing representative throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
- Provide technical guidance and oversight on structural design and documentation
- Support project planning, resourcing, and execution across a range of building types
- Attend meetings, communicate project updates, and help drive decisions with clients and project stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the team
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience within structural engineering consulting
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Strong experience in building design and project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to manage moderate to complex projects
- Strong understanding of structural design coordination and construction documentation
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and lead projects efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable representing the structural discipline in meetings with clients, architects, and internal teams
- Knowledge of construction costs and project coordination is preferred
