The Role

This position blends technical leadership, project management, client engagement, and business development.

A typical week may include:

• Leading complex structural investigations and building assessments
• Developing repair, retrofit, and restoration solutions for existing structures
• Performing site evaluations and field investigations
• Reviewing structural failures, deficiencies, and performance concerns
• Preparing technical reports, calculations, specifications, and engineering deliverables
• Managing project budgets, schedules, and client expectations
• Supporting proposal development and fee negotiations
• Participating in business development and industry networking activities
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, attorneys, and building owners
• Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
• Supporting construction administration and project execution through completion

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 9+ years of progressive engineering experience
• Experience in structural investigations, forensic engineering, restoration, rehabilitation, repair design, or existing buildings consulting
• Strong understanding of applicable building codes and construction practices
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineering staff
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in the Atlanta area
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Engineering
• Experience leading projects from concept through construction
• Background in forensic engineering or building envelope consulting
• Experience with expert witness services and litigation support
• Advanced project management capabilities
• Business development and client relationship experience
• Demonstrated leadership within engineering organizations or strategic initiatives
• Interest in long-term practice growth and leadership opportunities

• Base Salary: $120,000 - $170,000+ depending on experience, credentials, and business development capabilities
