We're seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as Executive Director of Public Infrastructure & Municipal Services, overseeing a high-impact division focused on delivering innovative public works solutions across major U.S. markets. This role is ideal for a senior engineering professional with a passion for infrastructure, business growth, and team leadership.
🔹 Role Overview
As Executive Director, you'll lead the strategic direction, business development, and operational performance of the Public Infrastructure division. You'll work closely with executive leadership to align your practice with broader organizational goals, while mentoring top talent and cultivating long-term client relationships.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the division
- Lead client engagement and serve as Principal-in-Charge or Project Manager on key initiatives
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion
- Mentor and develop high-performing team members
- Collaborate across divisions to optimize resource allocation and project delivery
- Represent the firm in industry organizations and events
- Oversee contract reviews and risk management
- Maintain a minimum 20% billable utilization on projects
🔹 Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 15+ years of experience in civil/public infrastructure engineering
- Proven leadership in business development and operational management
- Strong network and client base within the public works sector
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to anticipate market trends and adapt strategies accordingly
