Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager
Loctation: Greenbelt, MD
7+ years' experience | PE required

My client is looking to bring on a Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to support a strong and growing pipeline of work across Maryland. This role combines technical delivery with project leadership and client-facing responsibility, making it a great fit for someone ready to take ownership of both projects and relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Complete complex hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
  • Design water resources improvements, including:
    • Stream restoration
    • Dam improvements
    • Storm drain systems
    • Stormwater management retrofits
  • Prepare construction documents and secure all necessary approvals
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility through construction
  • Manage client communication and maintain strong relationships
  • Lead construction observation and documentation
  • Manage engineering/CAD technicians, surveyors, and sub-consultants
  • Oversee the quality and delivery of all engineering documents

Required Experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • 7+ years of water resources engineering experience
  • Strong experience across all phases of project delivery, including:
    • Feasibility and conceptual design
    • Detailed design and construction documentation
    • Permitting
    • Construction management and documentation
  • Proven ability to lead projects and engage directly with clients

Desired Experience

  • Familiarity with permitting in:
    • Montgomery County
    • Prince George's County
    • Howard County
    • Maryland SHA and MDE
  • Experience with:
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Microsoft Project
    • ArcGIS
  • Local ties to Prince George's County are a plus
