A leading commercial mechanical contractor is seeking a Field Supervisor / Service Manager to oversee daily service operations in the Austin market. This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who has progressed from the tools into leadership and enjoys developing technicians, supporting customers, and driving operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of commercial HVAC service technicians
- Oversee daily dispatching, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Provide technical guidance and support on troubleshooting and complex service calls
- Ensure preventative maintenance, repair, and project work is completed safely and efficiently
- Conduct ride-alongs, field audits, and technician coaching sessions
- Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and overall service department performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to identify growth opportunities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Qualifications
- 8+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Field Supervisor, Service Manager, or similar leadership role
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, RTUs, chillers, boilers, and related equipment
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technicians
- Experience managing customer relationships and service delivery
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- EPA Certification preferred
- Valid driver's license
