[SIN] Commissioning Engineer - Data Center
This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of engineering and commissioning activities for building services and mission‑critical environments. The Project Engineer/Commissioning Engineer will work closely with the site commissioning team to ensure project progress, technical compliance, documentation accuracy, and smooth execution from factory testing through integrated system testing. The position requires strong coordination skills, technical understanding of MEP systems, and the ability to support both project operations and site‑based activities in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist managers in ensuring smooth and successful project implementation.
- Participate in all testing and commissioning activities, from factory acceptance tests to integrated system tests.
- Monitor site progress and coordinate site activities, including attending meetings and following up on actions.
- Address technical queries from clients and stakeholders during project execution.
- Review vendor method statements, track responses, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Witness contractor testing and commissioning works, validating that results meet required standards.
- Manage project documentation, administration tasks, and reporting deliverables.
- Support Health, Safety & Environment practices, including PPE usage, hazard reporting, and safe work procedures.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, though Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or similar disciplines are also considered.
- Eligibility to work in Singapore.
- Relevant experience in MEP systems, building services coordination, and/or testing & commissioning, preferably with exposure to multinational project environments.
- Proficiency with PC applications such as MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Strong command of written and spoken English with high attention to detail.
- Reliable, proactive work attitude with confidence to make decisions independently.
- Self‑motivated, committed to continuous improvement, and able to manage time effectively.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to manage various internal and external stakeholders.
