A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on infrastructure projects throughout Northern Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities for heavy civil projects
- Supervise crews, subcontractors, and equipment
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and VDOT requirements
- Coordinate work sequencing, inspections, and schedules
- Communicate progress and field issues with project management
Qualifications
- 5+ years of heavy civil superintendent experience
- Background in earthwork, utilities, concrete, and roadway construction
- Experience working on public agency projects preferred
- Strong leadership and plan-reading skills
