About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Estimator to join a well-established Massachusetts-based EPC contractor. This position plays a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale electrical and civil construction projects, ensuring successful project execution from bid to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and establish budgets for projects ranging from $1M to $30M.
- Ensure all estimate components are accurately reflected in contracts and proposals.
- Perform quantity take-offs and evaluate complex project requirements.
- Collaborate with executives and project teams on estimating strategies.
- Additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in estimating, preferably in electrical and/or civil construction.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, contracts, and cost estimating principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Primavera, and cost estimation software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil or Electrical).
- Experience with medium/high-voltage distribution projects, substation construction, or federal/state contracts.
- Background in transportation, electrical, or communications contracting.
