A privately held Engineering, Procurement & Construction / EPCM firm is seeking to grow out their structural groups across multiple offices, looking to bring on structural engineers and designers in Cincinnati and Kansas City. This EPC firm deliver full‑lifecycle solutions - from feasibility and front‑end design through construction, commissioning, and start‑up - for industrial process manufacturers. Core markets include pulp & paper, chemical, consumer products, food & beverage, power, and heavy industrial. Teams are truly multi‑disciplinary, integrating process, mechanical, civil/structural, packaging, controls & instrumentation for seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities
- Own and deliver industrial structural designs that perform under operational loads, environmental demands, and lifecycle constraints.
- Select systems and materials (steel, concrete, masonry), configure foundations/building/equipment supports, and ensure structural soundness through construction.
- Develop design criteria, calculations, estimates, drawings; guide 3D modeling/drafting (Revit, AutoCAD, STAAD) and simulation workflows.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical/controls, and architectural teams; engage directly with clients, architects, and EPC partners.
- Lead/assist site inspections, contractor oversight, and small sub‑contracts; ensure code compliance and documentation integrity.
- Contribute to project planning and QA/QC, and support proposals with scopes, deliverables, and estimates when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of structural experience (industrial settings strongly preferred)
- Proficiency with STAAD, Revit, AutoCAD; comfort with vibration/rotating equipment considerations a plus
- Familiarity with construction methods, codes, and regulatory frameworks; able to juggle multiple projects/clients
- PE preferred (not strictly required for consideration)
- EPC/EPCM background is a must (see eligibility below)
Eligibility
- Current or recent EPC/EPCM firm experience (industrial/manufacturing projects) is required.
- No visas, no relocation. Candidates must be local enough to commute weekly to one of the listed offices.
- Stable tenure (credible, progressive experience without frequent short hops).
- Pulp & Paper background is a major plus. If not, your chemical, heavy industrial, F&B, or power work must translate directly.
